Our staff provide professional care and support, in your own home, allowing you the opportunity to take a break and recharge. Your loved one gets to remain in their own environment, with familiar surroundings. In many cases, this support is warmly welcomed by the patient, as they may be feeling concerned about your welfare!

Palliative / End of Life
When facing a life-limiting illness, comfort, dignity, and quality of life matter more than ever. Cherish Respite provides holistic, compassionate care in the place you feel safest and most comfortable – your own home.
You don’t need to do this alone. Our experienced carers and nurses can be there beside you, offering support and reassurance, throughout every stage of this journey.
We work alongside families and healthcare providers to manage symptoms, while providing emotional and practical support. Being at home maximises the patient's sense of comfort and security, allowing them more quality time with the people that most matter.

Dementia
At Cherish Respite, we understand the unique challenges of memory loss and cognitive decline.
For those living with dementia, our professional carers offer companionship, emotional support, and assistance with daily tasks. Having consistent, compassionate care brings peace of mind for the client and their families. Our carers work to build a safe, reassuring relationship with their clients.
Those caring for others often forget about themselves, but it's so important that their needs are being met too. Cherish Respite can step into the carer role to give you a well-deserved break. This may be for just a few hours a week, with the option of expanding on this if needed. No one can pour from an empty cup, so please don't hesitate to reach out.

Companionship
Keen to stay in your own home but finding it harder to manage alone? Cherish Respite can help.
We an provide support that's tailor-made for your unique needs. Our carer becomes your companion.
Whether it's help with showering or dressing, light housework, grocery shopping, meal preparation, making and attending appointments with you - we can help with all of the above and more. Maybe you would love to go on outings but are no longer driving. Whatever your needs, our friendly carers are ready to step in and help you live your best life, exactly where you want to be.

Rehab / Recovery
Recovering from illness, injury, or surgery? At Cherish Respite we understand that every rehabilitation journey is unique. That's why we take the time to understand our client's needs, help them set achievable goals, and provide compassionate support every step of the way.
We work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, family members, and the client to help achieve the best possible outcome for recovery.
With in-home rehabilitation support, clients can recover in the place they know best, surrounded by comfort, familiarity, and the people who matter most.

Postnatal
The weeks following the birth of a baby are a time of immense joy, excitement, and also vulnerability. Having a new human to care for, while recovering from the process of giving birth, can be overwhelming and exhausting. In a perfect world, we would all have family living close by, ready and able to assist us through times like this.
When you need a little extra support, Cherish Respite is there for you. Our staff can come to your home, and provide the care and encouragement you need on your parenting journey. We can assist with the practical tasks, and also provide the emotional support every new parent needs to ensure this post-partum time together is an opportunity to flourish.

Disability
When a disability offers challenges, Cherish Respite can work with you, to ensure you're getting the most out of life. We work collaboratively with other health services that may be involved in your care.
We have both carers and nurses available, and we work alongside clients with a vast spectrum of disabilities. Our services can include help with personal cares, housework, meal preparation, transport to appointments, companionship or other assistance to help you thrive. We pride ourselves on the quality of our care, and the friendliness of our carers.

Live-In Care
If you would like to remain in your own home but are finding it challenging,
Cherish Respite can provide 24/7 in-home care. This means you will be matched with multiple care-givers to cover your needs around the clock. Whether you need short-term care while recovering from an illness or injury, ongoing care, or temporary respite for a caregiver, we can work with you to put in place a care plan and the right people to walk alongside you.
Every situation is different, so talk to us, and together we can make sure you have the support you need.

Overnight Care
This can be a time when support could be most beneficial. Our staff can come into your home to allow you as a carer to have a full night’s sleep! We can provide overnight support from anytime of the evening, through till the following day.
We can tailor this to meet your needs. This may be as an overnight “awake” time or setting up a bed in the room next to your loved one and tending to their needs when required. Having somebody in the home overnight can provide you with peace of mind and reassurance, while allowing you to get some much-needed rest.
